The KHA Quality Team presented the KHA Patient Safety Hero Award yesterday to Kiara Farris, staff nurse at UofL Health Center for Women and Infants.

The KHA Quality Team presented the KHA Patient Safety Hero Award yesterday to Kiara Farris, APRN, MSN, UofL Health Center for Women and Infants.

Farris was nominated by a colleague who noted her exceptional patient care and advancement in patient safety. She makes it a priority to foster collaboration and communication with patient families and team members. Farris’s advocacy for patients has not only improved safety outcomes but serves as a role model for staff to take ownership of patient safety.

KHA is grateful to Farris and other patient safety leaders whose commitment to the care they provide makes a difference for their patients and their communities!
