The Kentucky Hospital Association (KHA) regularly recognizes state legislators who have exhibited exemplary service to the hospitals of Kentucky and the patients they serve. KHA honored Kentucky Senator Danny Carroll today as a KHA Legislative Champion for 2024 during a meeting of the Paducah Rotary Club.

During the 2024 Kentucky General Assembly, Senator Carroll, who serves as the Chair of the Senate Families & Children Committee, introduced a bill to ensure the youth of Kentucky facing severe and complex mental health conditions can receive proper treatment. The bill focused on the placement and care of young Kentuckians by establishing a standardized assessment and placement process.

Kentucky hospitals appreciate Senator Carroll for working to protect young patients and for his leadership in the State Senate.
