The Kentucky Hospital Association (KHA) regularly recognizes state legislators who have exhibited exemplary service to the hospitals of Kentucky and the patients they serve. KHA honored Kentucky Representative Scott Sharp today as a KHA Legislative Hero for 2025 at UK King’s Daughters Medical Center.

Representative Sharp, who serves on the House Health Services Committee, has built a reputation as a strong advocate for his community and the Commonwealth’s hospitals. With a dedication to public service, he has worked side-by-side with UK King’s Daughters to protect access to quality health care, knowing the well-being of a community is tied to the strength of its local hospitals.

During today’s award presentation, Representative Sharp remarked, “I’m a work horse; not a show pony” – a reflection of the humility and determination he uses to focus on results rather than the spotlight or politics.

KHA and its member hospitals bestowed this award in gratitude to Representative Sharp for his dedication to serving communities across Kentucky.
