The KHA Quality Team wishes to congratulate the new KHA Patient Safety Hero, Jessica Crisp, Vice President Associate CNO and System Quality of Owensboro Health. Jessica Crisp has not only changed the culture from a data collection and reporting department to a working and active performance improvement department; all of her focus is on patient-centered, safe, and reliable care. She has used her knowledge in LEAN methodology to transform how departments display their data to move change. She provides regular support, feedback, and coaching to leaders to support this learning. She partners with other healthcare organizations to share best practices and implements those practices such as weekly fall debriefing with units that experience a patient fall.  She not only has a focus on patient safety but also leads the organization’s Workplace Violence Prevention team. In addition, Jessica assures that the changes are system wide as Owensboro Health is a 3-hospital system. Her leadership is invaluable to this organization!
