KHA is excited to announce two new employees and a change of position for a current team member.

Kayla Williams has joined KHA as the Director of Human Resources and Workforce Development, leading HR operations and supporting workforce initiatives to strengthen Kentucky’s health care talent pipeline.  She brings over 20 years of health care experience, grounded in her early career as a Registered Nurse. Before joining KHA, Williams spent 21 years at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana, serving in different capacities from an ER Tech, RN, Allied Health/Nurse Recruiter, HR Business Partner. She spent the last 4 years serving as HR Manager. Williams holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Louisville and currently holds an SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential.

Lauren Wheatley has joined KHA as the new Director of Events and Education to develop, coordinate, and execute educational programs and major events for the organization. Wheatley spent the last nine years working in learning and development in the senior living industry where she built learning and mentor programs for employees and managed training compliance for state and federal regulations. She also has experience in managing education programs for K-12 students throughout the Kentuckiana region. Wheatley holds a Bachelor’s degree from Murray State University and a master’s in education with an emphasis on human resource development.

Claire Arant, who joined KHA in 2017, is transitioning into an entirely new role within the organization. As the new Director of Community Outreach and External Communications, Arant will assist hospitals at the local level in coordinating meetings and community improvement goals around topics such as patient and family engagement, reducing hospital readmissions, reducing obstetrical harm, and improving health care teamwork and communications. She will continue to serve as KHA Staff Liaison for the KHA Psychiatric and Chemical Dependency Forum, KHA Post-Acute Care Forum, Home Health Forum, LTACH Forum, and Rehabilitation Hospital Forum. A native of Paducah, Kentucky, Arant holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Murray State University and a Master of Public Health from Western Kentucky University.
