The KHA Quality Team congratulates the newest KHA Patient Safety Hero, Lindsay Taylor, Unit Facilitator of Ephraim McDowell James B Haggin Hospital.

Taylor was recognized as a KHA Patient Safety Hero for her outstanding dedication to patient safety, quality improvement, and compassionate care at Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital. An extraordinary nurse and exceptional team player, she leads daily multidisciplinary patient care conferences where she proactively identifies patient safety risks and collaborates with physicians, pharmacists, and nurses to improve outcomes. She plays a key role in ensuring appropriate VTE prophylaxis, evaluating the continued need for Foley catheters to reduce complications, and advancing initiatives such as fall prevention, reducing blood culture contamination, preventing hospital-acquired infections, and improving medication safety. Taylor is always willing to step in wherever she is needed, consistently going above and beyond for both her patients and colleagues. Her leadership, dedication, and unwavering commitment to excellence make her a truly deserving recipient of the KHA Patient Safety Hero Award.
