Partner Organizations & Resources
AHA provides national hospital workforce resources, including workforce strategy tools, communications resources, and annual workforce scan materials.
KBN supports Kentucky’s nursing workforce through licensure and regulatory resources, nursing laws and advisory opinions, workforce data, and nursing education information. KHA links to KBN resources and works with KBN on nursing workforce data and the Clinical Instructor and Preceptor Program.
Kentucky has aligned resources to ensure companies and individuals receive the assistance they need to be successful. The Cabinet for Economic Development has a host of resources including the competitive Grant-in-Aid (GIA) that provides cash reimbursements for occupational and skills upgrade training at Kentucky businesses. The Skills Training Investment Credit (STIC) offers state income tax credits for companies to offset the costs for approved training programs. Other programs include KCTCS TRAINS funding, dual credit scholarships, second chance programs, and more.
The Kentucky Chamber and Kentucky Chamber Foundation Workforce Center provide employer-led workforce resources, including Talent Pipeline Management® and related tools to help employers identify talent needs, communicate workforce demand, and work with education and community partners. Hospitals interested in TPM® or other Chamber workforce resources may connect directly with the Kentucky Chamber Foundation Workforce Center.
SWATT brings statewide partners together to improve coordination and delivery of workforce development services to Kentucky employers. KHA participates in SWATT to help align health care workforce needs with broader workforce system efforts.

CPE supports Kentucky’s postsecondary education pipeline through program data, statewide workforce initiatives, and the Healthcare Workforce Investment Fund. CPE resources help hospitals and partners identify existing health programs and opportunities for education partnerships.

Kentucky AHEC supports health career exposure, community-based training, and rural and underserved workforce development. AHEC can help hospitals connect with students and learners, support clinical education, and strengthen local pipeline partnerships.
KDE/CTE Health Science pathways help students explore health careers, build foundational skills, and connect with work-based learning opportunities. Hospitals may engage through advisory committees, guest speaking, tours, job shadowing, and other student experiences.
Kentucky HOSA supports students preparing for health careers through leadership development, technical skill-building, competitive events, and career exploration. Hospitals may support HOSA through judging, mentoring, site visits, and other student engagement.
KCTCS offers health care programs across nursing, allied health, and clinical fields. Hospital partnerships may include clinical placements, work-based learning, and education alignment for hard-to-fill roles.
HealthForce Kentucky supports health care workforce development through simulation training, career exploration, and hands-on learning resources for communities, educators, and employers.
KWIB provides statewide strategy and oversight for Kentucky’s workforce system. For hospitals, KWIB connects to regional workforce boards, Kentucky Career Center business services, training investments, and work-based learning supports.
The WID Collaborative convenes partners to strengthen Kentucky’s behavioral health and intellectual/developmental disability workforce. Hospitals providing behavioral health services may use this forum to connect workforce needs with statewide planning and partner efforts.
KORH supports rural health access by connecting rural communities and providers with local, state, and federal resources. For rural hospitals and providers, KORH can assist with program development, operational improvement, and funding connections.
KYVALOR connects transitioning service members, veterans, and military spouses with Kentucky employers and accelerated career pathways that recognize military education and experience.
SOAR supports regional development in Eastern Kentucky, including community conditions that affect workforce supply and retention.
