This presentation provides an overview of Disaster Behavioral Health (DBH) and the fundamental principles of Psychological First Aid (PFA). It is designed to be survivor and responder focused, offering participants an opportunity for peer-to-peer interaction and learning regarding the psychological impacts of disasters and effective stress management.

At the end of this presentation, you will be able to:
- Identify the psychological impacts of disasters and the common stress reactions.
- Discuss the “do no harm” principles and the eight core actions of Psychological First Aid.
- Apply practical coping techniques and environmental safety strategies to assist survivors.
- Implement comprehensive stress management strategies for responders, including daily disciplines, immediate mitigation techniques like box breathing, and post-incident recovery.
