KHA Guide to Workplace Safety cover

KHA recently launched a Workplace Violence (WPV) Guide for members. This will be a “living” document to be updated with new resources, but also printable as a PDF. The document includes an introduction to the unfortunate issues with statistics, an analysis and Q&A from KHA’s attorney Wes Butler concerning the new WPV felony protection law, a Code of Safety Conduct form hospitals can ask patients (along with family members and visitors as deemed appropriate and possible) to sign, the safety and felony awareness posters KHA released last year, and links to various other resources from government agencies, the American Hospital Association, the Joint Commission, KHA’s WPV partner AVADE, and more.

As this is a “living” document, please feel free to contact JP Hamm at KHA (jhamm@kyha.com) if you have any resources or information you wish the team to consider adding. Both general resources and material from your own hospital are welcome
