KHA held the annual Health Policy Conference on October 16 in Lexington. The day was filled with presentations and panels with legislators and officials, who discussed the latest on health care policy and more.

Kentucky Department for Medicaid Services Commissioner Lisa Lee discussed her agency’s plans as states grapple with changes to Medicaid.

Next, two legislators received awards from KHA before joining Representative Scott Sharp (center) for a House Panel to discuss Medicaid. KHA Food is Medicine (FIM) Program Coordinator Morgan Bray moderated the final panel of the day on the FIM initiative. The panel included Appalachian Regional Healthcare President Hollie Harris and Kentucky Department of Agriculture Commissioner Jonathan Shell.

Two additional legislators also received KHA Legislative Champion awards during the event in honor of their commitment to Kentucky health care during the 2025 legislative session.
