Kentucky Hospitals Extend Gratitude to State’s Congressional Delegation for Preserving Medicaid

Share

The Kentucky Hospital Association (KHA) and its member hospitals from across the Commonwealth are expressing their deepest thanks to Congressmen James Comer (R), Congressman Andy Barr (R), Congressman Hal Rogers (R), and Congressman Brett Guthrie (R), the Chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, for their support of Medicaid in Kentucky.

With Chairman Guthrie’s leadership and the support of the rest of the Kentucky delegation, the reconciliation bill passed by the U.S. House of Representatives preserves Medicaid in Kentucky so patients will be able to receive the care they need, when they need it.

The Medicaid program serves nearly one-third of the patients in Kentucky and is crucial to access to timely health care everywhere in the state. KHA applauds the difficult work accomplished by Chairman Guthrie to craft delicately balanced legislation that will make sure the Medicaid program is sustainable and can continue to serve the people of Kentucky.

Thank you for standing with Kentucky’s hospitals and the patients they serve.
