Kentucky Hospital Association Honors Representative Kim Moser as KHA Legislative Champion

Share

KHA regularly recognizes state legislators who have exhibited exemplary service to the hospitals of Kentucky and the patients they serve. KHA honored Kentucky Representative Kimberly Poore Moser today as a KHA Legislative Champion for 2024 during a meeting St. Elizabeth Healthcare.

Representative Moser introduced HB 194 in the 2024 Kentucky General Assembly to extend the felony charge of assault in the third degree to an attack on a hospital employee or contractor if the attack occurs anywhere in the facility or the hospital campus, including outpatient facilities. This essential new law further protects all Kentucky health care employees from violence while they are caring for patients.

Kentucky hospitals appreciate Representative Moser for defending health care workers and for her leadership in the State House of Representatives.
