KHA Regional Workplace Violence Prevention Symposium
The Kentucky Hospital Association (KHA) is hosting regional Workplace Violence Prevention Symposiums across Kentucky in 2026. These sessions will bring together C-Suite executives, security professionals, human resources teams, and local law enforcement partners.
The purpose is to encourage collaboration, peer-to-peer discussion, and shared learning focused on preventing and responding to workplace violence in health care settings.

Panel discussion on approaches to workplace violence prevention, including initiatives such as staff training and preparedness, reporting and response protocols, de-escalation strategies, security measures, and lessons learned.
10:10 – 11:10 a.m.
Support Resources for Employees Impacted by Workplace Violence
Panel discussion exploring immediate support resources for staff impacted by workplace violence including proactive strategies to support staff and promote well-being after an event.
11:10 a.m. – 12:10 p.m.
Partnerships with Local Law Enforcement
This session reviews the role of local law enforcement in responding to violence at your hospital. Participants will learn best practices for collaborating with local law enforcement to improve communication, strengthen prevention efforts, and ensure staff safety before, during, and after workplace violence incidents.
