The Northeast Kentucky Area Health Education Center (AHEC) Rural Health Scholars program provides educational support for high school juniors and seniors with a strong interest in pursuing a health care career. This competitive, application-based program prepares students for entry into postsecondary health career training programs. Participants receive guidance to strengthen college or vocational school applications and explore available health career pathways, with an emphasis on informed career planning and readiness for future training.
