Lexington Summer Youth Job Training Program
The Lexington Summer Youth Job Training Program is a six-week, paid employment initiative administered by the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government’s Partners for Youth. Designed to provide students aged 14 to 17 with valuable early career exposure and essential soft skills development, the program connects youth with a wide range of local employers. In 2025, the University of Kentucky expanded its long-running summer youth program, established in 2001, by partnering for the first time with the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government’s Partners for Youth program. This collaboration facilitated placements for 29 students across various departments within UK HealthCare and the UK campus.
