The Careers in Health Advanced Summer Experience (CHASE) is a two-day summer camp designed for incoming and current high school students interested in exploring careers in health care. Hosted at local hospitals or clinics, CHASE provides participants with direct exposure to health care environments within their own communities. Students engage with health care professionals through guest speakers, participate in hands-on activities, and learn about Area Health Education Center (AHEC) programs and pathways. The program is designed to increase awareness of health career options and strengthen early interest in the health care workforce. CHASE camp locations are announced each April, with applications open from April through late May. Camps are held annually in June.
