Bridging the Gap is a 40-hour medical interpreter training course offered in partnership with the South Central Kentucky Area Health Education Center and Community Action of Southern Kentucky. The program prepares bilingual individuals to facilitate effective communication between health care providers and patients with limited English proficiency. Widely recognized by medical facilities nationwide, Bridging the Gap is designed for health educators, health care professionals, lay interpreters, and bilingual community members interested in medical interpreting.
