The Summer Health Internship Program (SHIP) provides undergraduate health professions students with paid, six-week internships at local health-focused organizations. The program aims to increase the likelihood that participants will pursue employment within the region. SHIP is open to students attending college in northeastern Kentucky and those with permanent residence in the region who attend college elsewhere. Interns are placed with health departments, community health centers, and other health-related organizations to address public health and community health needs.
