KHA Offers Free AVADE® De-Escalation Instructor Training – February 26

On February 26, KHA will offer a free, one-day AVADE® De-Escalation Instructor Training Program for KHA member hospitals. This training is designed for HR professionals, safety leaders, and workplace violence prevention teams who are responsible for preparing staff to safely recognize and manage escalating behaviors.

This 8-hour, instructor-level course focuses on building core de-escalation skills, including recognizing early warning signs, interpreting behavioral cues, and applying trauma-informed verbal, nonverbal, and situational-awareness techniques. Participants will gain practical, team-ready tools to intervene early in the escalation cycle and, upon completion, will be equipped to train staff within their own organizations.
