Hosted by Southern Kentucky Area Health Education Center (AHEC), in partnership with Appalachian Regional Healthcare and Union Commonwealth University, the Next Nurse Program introduces high school students to careers in nursing through guided, hands-on exploration.

Program activities include hospital tours, professional mentorship, and interactive sessions that help students understand nursing career pathways, educational requirements, and real-world work environments.
