KHA Now Accepting Nominations for the HANDS Award & Carol Walters Teen Volunteer Scholarship

Volunteers are at the heart of the hospitals we serve. We’re fortunate to have many individuals who lend their time and talents to the places where we care for others. Together these individuals are making a difference for patients, families, hospital staff and their communities. Each year, the Kentucky Hospital Association (KHA) in conjunction with the KHA Committee on Volunteer Services (COVS) honors individuals and facilities who excel by striving to create a new system, programs and/or processes to achieve positive change for health care in their hospital.

Judges from the COVS will select award & scholarship winners. They will be presented at the Auxiliary Luncheon during the COVS Spring Conference. This is an opportunity to acknowledge the value of volunteerism and to increase awareness of the great programs carried out by volunteers. The energy and abilities of our volunteers support the mission of our hospitals throughout the state, and we applaud your efforts.

It is an honor to be nominated and we encourage your participation in this event. Not only will this acknowledge your volunteers’ extraordinary efforts, but it will also help to strengthen the work in our hospitals and communities.

Completed nomination forms must be returned to KHA by March 8, 2024. Late entries will NOT be accepted and there will be no deadline extensions. Award winners will be notified by April 1, 2024.
