Inpatient Glycemic Management & Preparing for the New CMS Measures This presentation will provide a comprehensive overview of inpatient glycemic management and the new CMS glycemic management electronic clinical quality measures (eCQM). Join us to learn why inpatient glycemic management should be a top priority at your hospital, gain an understanding of best practices, identify challenges, and explore how technology such as eGMS can help your hospitals adhere to best practices and achieve its goals. During this session, attendees will also receive an overview of the two new CMS glycemic management eCQMs and gain valuable tips to help their hospitals prepare.

Featured Speaker Beata (Betsy) Kubacka, DNP, MSN, RN, AGPCNP-BC, RDN, CDCES, serves as Glytec’s Vice President of Clinical Partner Solutions. Betsy first obtained a Bachelor’s in Dietetics and Nutrition. She later received her nursing degree, followed by two Masters of Science degrees in Nursing Education and Gerontological / Adult Nurse Practitioner. She then completed her Doctorate in Nursing Practice focusing on Leadership and Innovation in 2023. In addition to her role with Glytec, Betsy continues to care for patients as an Endocrine nurse practitioner with Hartford HealthCare. Before joining Glytec, Betsy served as Hartford HealthCare’s Endocrine Council Co-Chair, where she led the implementation of Glucommander software as a clinical project lead for the health system. She is known for her expertise in hyperglycemic emergencies and inpatient glycemic management and has been published in various peer-reviewed journals, including Nursing Critical Care. Betsy brings a wealth of knowledge in healthcare, with over 25 years of combined inpatient, outpatient, and healthcare technology experience.
