SUMMARY:KHA Town Hall: Happy Patients Pay: Delivering a Positive Patient Experience in the Revenue Cycle
DESCRIPTION:Train your team in practical steps to quickly improve financial performance and communications at critical moments with patients. \nPatients now have more choices than ever; although they may not be able to differentiate between adequate and excellent clinical care\, they can identify substandard customer service in the billing process and related communications from a hospital or health care provider. One bad patient experience can alienate those patients and potentially lose their future business as well as that of their family and friends.  Treating patients with dignity\, care and clarity throughout their entire experience generates superior financial results and should be a priority for every staff member. \nThis session will provide you with the knowledge to: \n\nThe financial impact of the patient experience within the revenue cycle\nCommunicate effectively with patients & deliver an exceptional custom service experience\nIncrease co-pay at the door\n“Toolbox” to enable dramatic improvement when communicating with patients\n\nSpeaker:\nBrian Garver\, Senior Vice President\nKeyBridge Medical Revenue Care \nFor Zoom information\, please contact Tammy Wells at KHA (twells@kyha.com).

SUMMARY:Special KHA Town Hall - Loper Bright and the post-Chevron Age
DESCRIPTION:Join KHA on Thursday\, October 3 at 10:00 a.m. ET for a Special Town Hall on Loper Bright and the post-Chevron Age – An Overview for Kentucky Hospitals. \nOn June 28\, 2024\, the U.S. Supreme Court abandoned 40 years of caselaw when it overruled the Chevron doctrine in Loper Bright Enterprises\, Inc. v. Raimondo. The Chevron doctrine allowed administrative agencies to enjoy a level of deference when agency regulations were challenged in the courts\, but Loper Bright directs federal courts to exercise their “independent judgment” when determining whether an agency acted within its statutory authority. The impact of Loper Bright will be felt by every federally regulated industry in the United States. \nThis presentation will provide a short overview of how Loper Bright has changed administrative law in the courts and will discuss how Kentucky health care providers may need to adjust to the new legal landscape. \nSpeaker:\nWes Butler \nBarnett\, Benvenuti & Butler\, PLLC \nThis is a KHA Members-only webinar. Please register at the link below. You will receive a confirmation email containing your unique login information shortly after your registration has been approved.
