SUMMARY:Special KHA Town Hall - Loper Bright and the post-Chevron Age
DESCRIPTION:Join KHA on Thursday\, October 3 at 10:00 a.m. ET for a Special Town Hall on Loper Bright and the post-Chevron Age – An Overview for Kentucky Hospitals. \nOn June 28\, 2024\, the U.S. Supreme Court abandoned 40 years of caselaw when it overruled the Chevron doctrine in Loper Bright Enterprises\, Inc. v. Raimondo. The Chevron doctrine allowed administrative agencies to enjoy a level of deference when agency regulations were challenged in the courts\, but Loper Bright directs federal courts to exercise their “independent judgment” when determining whether an agency acted within its statutory authority. The impact of Loper Bright will be felt by every federally regulated industry in the United States. \nThis presentation will provide a short overview of how Loper Bright has changed administrative law in the courts and will discuss how Kentucky health care providers may need to adjust to the new legal landscape. \nSpeaker:\nWes Butler \nBarnett\, Benvenuti & Butler\, PLLC \nThis is a KHA Members-only webinar. Please register at the link below. You will receive a confirmation email containing your unique login information shortly after your registration has been approved. Please contact me with any questions. \n\nKHA MEMBERS: CLICK HERE TO REGISTER
