Via lecture and Power Point visual aids, this virtual offering will cover an array of topics, including the integration of infection prevention and control into every aspect of patient care that has led a practice evolution for the infection preventionist. This session will help participants move from a siloed process into on that is focused on evidence-based change and use of leadership and change management strategies.

Objectives– At the conclusion of this offering, attendees will be able to:

1. Review the foundational elements of an infection prevention and control program applicable to hospitals of any size and their respective care services.
2. Identify changes within healthcare that impact traditional infection prevention and control programs and form the basis for a contemporary approach recognizing financial, healthcare, and social changes.
3. Explore the foundational elements for a reimagined infection prevention and control program that emphasizes evidence-driven change and broad collaboration.

Target Audience: Infection Preventionists (IPs), IP leaders, Clinical leaders, Quality Leaders, and other health care professionals committed to excellence in the field of infection prevention and control.
