KHA’s 79th Annual Convention will be held May 12-14 in Louisville. To help you easily prepare for all the activities and sessions, KHA has produced a Web site specifically for this year’s convention. Visit it today at http://www.kyha.com/conv08.htm. The site contains information on all the educational sessions, allied society meetings, special events and exhibitor information. In addition, you will find information on hotel accommodations and local attractions. Due to technical difficulties with online registration that cannot be corrected at this time, registration must be completed using the form located inside the Convention brochures. Please mail your registration using the address printed on the form, or fax to 502-426-6226. If you need additional forms, they are available online at http://www.kyha.com/Convention08/Registration%20Form%202008%20BW%20print.pdf (for best printing results, use legal size paper). For further information about the Convention, please contact Carol

cwalters@kyha.com). Pharmaceutical Training/WorkshopThe Department for Environmental Protection, Division of Compliance Assistance, and PharmEcology Associates, LLC is conducting a workshop on April 21 and April 22 on the proper management of pharmaceutical waste as hazardous waste. This one day workshop is free, and would be beneficial to pharmacists and anyone who is in the business of handling and disposing of pharmaceuticals. The goal of the workshop is to educate the regulated community on the environmental and human health impacts resulting from the improper management of pharmaceutical waste. From the workshops, participants can expect to gain valuable knowledge to reduce environmental liability, increase operating efficiency, and improve environmental performance. An agenda and registration information are available online at www.kyha.com/documents/EPA0408.pdf. You can also register for free online at http://pharmregistration.speedsurvey.com. Four hours of continuing education credits are available to pharmacists by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) for this workshop.
